Richard III was the last English king to die during battle and it was the Battle of Bosworth Field 1485 that sealed his fate. The Battle ushered in a new era of British history with King Henry VII taking the throne, marking the end of the War of the Roses. Today you can relive the famous battle by witnessing a re-enactment or visit “Richard’s Well” – the last watering hole of the ill-fated king.
