Getting to the East Midlands is the easy part. It’s leaving that’s diffcult!

The East Midlands comprises the six counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. Getting here is the easy part, It’s leaving that’s diffcult! So much so, you’ll want to keep coming back. Ironically, it’s the absence of crowds that draws people back time and time again. Stay for a day and you’ll wish it was a week. Stay for a week and you’re hooked for life.

The reason for this is that not only can we offer you a taste of authentic England, but we can also promise you the time and space to enjoy it without being crowded and jostled. The East Midlands is roughly the same size as Connecticut - and with a population of around 4.2m, there are plenty of wide open spaces to enjoy.

From London you can be in the East Midlands in no time at all. It’s just 1 hour to Northampton by train (or just under 2 hours to Nottingham) and only 2 hours to Rutland, England’s smallest county, by automobile.

Once the gentle pace of life, the rich heritage and the idyllic landscapes of the East Midlands begin to work their magic, you might find you just want to slow down and look around you. That’s when you’ll start to discover new people, new places, and new perspectives.

There are over 100 routes into the airports serving the region together with a number of ferry routes from continental Europe. Visit the websites listed below for further information.
